Nelson E Brown

Nelson E. Brown is a student at the Community College of Baltimore County in

Catonsville, Maryland. He has served as one of the writers, artists, and editors of the Community

College of Baltimore County’s literary magazine from 2017-2019 and as the Secretary of the

Project Spark Success Team from 2018-2019. He has received numerous awards for his

community service and academic achievements and he has been recognized locally and

nationally. In addition to being a student, he is employed at the Maryland Department of the

Environment. He will completing his Bachelors of Arts degree at the University of Maryland-

Baltimore County. He completed his training as a Small Groups Facilitator in the spring of 2019

and he has received his first “Author of the Year” award from the 2019 Newsome Gospel Music

Awards for his 2018 debut book in his book series, “The Beauty In Us”, a memoir, “The Beauty

In Us: Our Reality”. He is earning his Associates Degree and his certificate in Small Business

Ownership Certificate from the Community College of Baltimore County in 2020.

He launched his first line of clothing, #BlackPrinceMagic in the fall of 2019. He currently

resides in Randallstown, Maryland.
