His first book, The Cocktail Bar: Notes for an Owner & Operator was published in 2018 by White Mule Press. "A much needed book," according to industry legend Dale Degroff, the book is the first of its kind: a detailed guide to the opening and operation of a bar. Covering everything from assessing an initial concept to tips for working with architects and contractors all the way to day-to-day operation the book was called a "vest pocket business school for aspiring bar owners" by Kara Newman, author of Shake.
