As a 55-year-old lady currently living in Turkey, I am finally following my dreams and living the life I once only dreamed of. I am free from demons and have peace in my heart. I wish this for you too.
My childhood was one of neglect and abuse.
In 2011, aged 40, I reported the abuse my father had put me through and took him to court. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison after a trial.
In 2018, I published my memoir, Tell me you’re sorry, Daddy, which tells the story of my childhood and how I overcame so much and fought for justice.
I wrote my story with the help of bestselling ghostwriter Linda Watson-Brown, and it made the Sunday Times bestsellers list after just two weeks.
The book has been a roller coaster of emotions, but it is helping me to rid myself of my demons.
The motivation behind my book has been my late sister Jenny and my desire to help other people who have been through similar experiences.
I took a perpetrator to court after 30 years, with no physical evidence. I only had my voice and my truth, and I secured a 16-year conviction.
My memoir is a Sunday Times and Amazon bestseller and is now available in print in French, Swedish ( Plus an audio version), Dutch and German and as a downloadable book in: Finnish, Iclandic, Norweigan and Danish.
It is now available in the US as an Amazon download.
This is my message:
‘If you only have your voice, you have your voice and it is powerful’
And please remember; sharing your story gives others their voice.
Thank you for reading.
