Belal E Baaquie

Belal Ehsan Baaquie is an advisor to Helixtap Technologies, Singapore. He was a Professor of Physics at the National University of Singapore (1984-2016) and a Professor of Finance at INCEIF University, Malaysia (2016-2021). He obtained his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at the California Institute of Technology and PhD in theoretical physics from Cornell University, New York, specializing in quantum field theory. He later developed an interest in finance and economics and has applyied quantum mathematics to these fields. He has written three books on quantum finance and economics: Quantum Finance (Cambridge, 2007), Interest Rates and Coupon Bonds in Quantum Finance (Cambridge, 2009), Quantum Field Theory for Economics and Finance (Cambridge, 2018). He has written several books on a variety of topics: on quantum mechanics, quantum computers, quantum psyche, on mathematics, on the leading ideas in science and as well as on China's rise.
