So why can Feel Good Again About America Book do that? Because the author is a perhaps lucky 3-way collision of 16 months as Army Officer facing the fire in ‘68 on the DMZ in the 2nd Korean War, a victory so sweet he cannot stop believing in America, 52 years off-trail running the Marin Headlands and a lifelong student of Scottish Empiricism. Normally this would not be enough. However the Headlands, being the most gorgeous place on earth, proved too inspiring to not try. So he stitched together a half century of wilderness photos and epiphanies into something that might prove useful.

This is Klein's fourth book, all highly influenced by David Hume about cause and effect replacing dynastic rule wherein for it to work, the most entitled must share power. Hume, a Tory convinced his peers to do so in exchange for the eternal honor of being the ones that invented the modern world, America a Scottish experiment to forever prove him right.

Klein's day job has been starting things - environmental planning ‘70s, utilities/municipal all going digital ‘80s, introducing first national parcel layer 2002, ending with universal common parcel indexing to turn the entire planet into a single cadaster. Try to have a war then!
