Kristy Hamby

Kristy Hamby can trace her love of writing back to her wonderful first grade teacher. That love has stayed with her through the years and inspired her to write her first children's book about her real-life oddly named cow, Chicken Lips.

Kristy enjoys watching Chicken Lips play with his herd in the beautiful pastures of North Georgia where she resides with her husband and three spirited kids. She is a stay-at-home mom who loves reading, writing, baking, playing piano (church hymnals are her favorite!), and watching her son play baseball."

Book #2 (Chicken Lips: One Lucky Cow) will be out this summer!

A little bit of backstory for you loyal fans: Kristy does, in fact, have a cow named Chicken Lips. Her father-in-law (THE FARMER in the story) named it that to make her twin daugters (also in the book) laugh!!! And, it worked! Kristy now shares the playfulness with many kids and offers free school visits in the North Georgia area, where she is spreading the #beyourowncow movement and encouraging kids to embrace their quirky and just be themselves!
