David Cole

Dave Cole is an author, educator, and storyteller with a passion for helping young people discover that learning can be exciting. His popular Math Kids book series grew out of the stories and activities he developed while leading elementary math camps.

Before becoming a full-time author, Dave worked in mathematics, technology, and software development, doing everything from writing missile guidance equations to starting two software development companies.

Today, he writes books, visits schools and libraries, coaches elementary math teams, teaches GED students, tutors high school students preparing for the ACT test, and teaches mathematics through the University of Missouri St. Louis Bridge Program.

Dave has presented to thousands of students at more than 100 schools and libraries, using stories, student interaction, and hands-on learning to bring challenging ideas to life.
