Krista Smith

Krista has followed Jesus since encountering His presence at the age of 9 during a time of repentence and surrender. Her journey of faith is rooted in more than three decades of Bible study. In 2002, she founded a Christian Academy in Greenville, South Carolina, where she currently serves as President. From 2004 to 2016, she served as Executive Director of Heartstep Foundation. Krista built a successful career in the mortgage industry from 1998-2017, and owned a mortgage lending firm. That path shifted in 2017, when the Lord confronted her heart with one piercing question: "Whose kingdom are you building?" After prayer and confirmation, she decided to close her business and realign her life fully around God's plans and purposes for her.

She has served as a missionary in Kenya and Liberia with Transformation Spirit Ministries under, Reverend Bernie Dorsey. In 2020, she co-labored with other intercessors as the Lord established the Altar of Prayer, a 24/7 virtual house of prayer.

Over the past 20 years, Krista has led Bible studies and discipled believers in their walk with God. She currently serves as a volunteer facilitator and Director at Tour of Truth, a global online community of Jesus followers who gather weekly for prayer and Bible study. In 2018, she authored Don't Die in the Pew, and recently published Have We Ignored the Appointed Times of God? in September 2026.

Krista has been called to serve the Body of Christ as a watchman, a standard-bearer, and a disciple-maker — encouraging believers in the Word of the Lord. She is passionate about Jesus, His Holy Word, Israel, the Jewish people, and His bride — the true Church, made up of both Jews and Gentiles.
