Carol Thompson

I am a Teacher Educator, Mentor and Researcher currently working in Higher Education. My career began in the Further Education Sector, and my recent experience has been working with trainee teachers as well as teaching assistants and mentors across all age phases. My work is focused on providing professional development opportunities through a suite of MA programmes, and this is supported by my research on professional identity.

As for my identity as an author, this is influenced by my personal reading preferences. I like reading books that are clear, well-researched and relevant to practice. I am passionate about sharing my experience in an accessible way and always aim to write content that is not only practical but is a pleasure to read. That’s my aim... it is of course down to the readers to decide if this has been realised!
