Mark Lynch was born sometime during the last century in Sydney, Australia.
Schooling did not agree with him, (and vice versa) and he found himself at the mature age of 14, a member of the tax-paying public.
At the age of 20, his country had other plans for him and he was drafted as a National Serviceman, serving in the 3rd. Cavalry unit.
Upon discharge, he was employed by QANTAS airways as an international Flight attendant for the next 20 years. A time he describes as, 'A combination of a time-share holiday in a never-ending beer commercial.'
Always cartooning during this time, he was also employed by News Ltd as the editorial cartoonist for The Australian newspaper, and would fax his daily cartoons back to Australia from weird and wonderful ports of call.
He left to open a restaurant in Paddington, Sydney, which he operated for the next 10 years.
He has won 55 National and international cartooning awards including, National cartoon of the year (twice) and the prestigious Stanley award for Australia's best single gag cartoonist. His work is seen in the US, Sweden, Brazil, Germany, Canada, Australia, the UK as well as a raft of other countries.
His unique Facebook page has over 25,000 followers (Daily cartoons, Mark Lynch)
