Ms. Robin E. Hackett

I am originally and currently a singer-songwriter. One day, after twenty years of living in New York City, I decided on an impulse to leave New York for Texas. On that day, I got an impulse to start writing a story about a singer-songwriter who lives in New York City and decides to move west. I ended up in Dallas, Texas. Never in my life had I planned on writing a fiction novel. I was used to writing songs, but never a novel. I didn't believe it at first, but the book kept developing, characters showed up, and then finally one day I shared the story with a friend, and she encouraged me to continue writing. So I did. I had no idea what I was doing, but I researched everything. Slowly, but surely as if it was magic, characters began to appear and they started talking to one another. Then a plot appeared and the rest is history.

Since writing The Blue Moon Cafe Series, I have written 2 other books. Girl, You're A Grown Ass Woman and The Creative YOU.

Wonderfully and magically, I have returned to New York City (that's another story) where I spend my days teaching and writing.

The Blue Moon Cafe name came from a cute little cafe right outside of Santa Fe that I used to go to when I would visit New Mexico.
