Mimi Owens

Mimi Owens is a first time Children’s Book author who resides in New Orleans. Her love for her hometown’s History and Culture prompted her to want to educate young children in a fun way. She hopes her children’s book “Who’s That, Daddy?” will help children grow a healthy understanding and respect for our community’s History.

“My hope is that the children who read this book can see beyond the race and politics of these imperfect people who are memorialized, and to realize that they, too, are capable of great achievement, no matter where they come from. Many New Orleanians are inspired by the achievements of these imperfect people.”
