J E Raven is the pen name used by John Ravenola.Born in Massachusetts ,not far from where Dr.Seuss resided in his early days, Raven’s children’s books have a definite “Suess-ness” style. A graduate from the University of Houston with a BS in Education, Mr. “R” teaching/coaching career spanned nearly twenty years before retiring and turning to writing.

“The Smidgeons and the Glugs” is the first book in a series that was published in 2017. The sequel ,”The Smidgeons and the Glugs II: The Rescue” was published in the fall of 2018. A third book, continuing the Smidgeons & Glugs saga is complete but yet unpublished. Check in the future for details on publication.
