Arthur L. Mack

Arthur L. Mack (1954-) is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He is a graduate of Bishop State Junior (now Community) College and the University of South Alabama, where he majored in history and was a track and field athlete. He has a certificate from the Newspaper Institute of America, and is a freelance writer who currently writes for several newspapers and websites. In addition to a 30-plus year writing career which has involved contributing articles to various newspapers and magazines, Mack has won several awards from the Alabama Press Association and the Alabama Sportswriters Association. He is also a retired welfare case manager and spent nearly 24 years in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Naval Reserves, receiving various numerous military awards, and commendations.
