Maxime Tant

Born in 1996, I grew up with two strong passions that still shape everything I do: skateboarding and space exploration.

I discovered skateboarding in ninth grade, around the same time I switched to electronics. I loved working with my hands and understanding how things function. In my final year of high school, a teacher introduced me to computer programming — and it was love at first sight.

I quickly started building projects, including a small search engine called “Men With Brain.” Later, during my BTS in computer development, I created the Android app SkateTricks, which reached around 30,000 downloads worldwide. That success gave me the confidence to write The Skateboarding Bible, a comprehensive guide I wished I had when I started skating.

In parallel, I have always been fascinated by aerospace engineering and the people who push the limits of what’s possible. The story of SpaceX — a company that turned reusable rockets from an “impossible” idea into reality — particularly captivated me. This curiosity led me to dive deep into the subject and eventually write a book that explores not only the technical achievements, but also the human side of this extraordinary adventure, including exclusive insights from one of SpaceX’s earliest employees.

Whether I’m documenting the culture of skateboarding or the rise of a company reinventing spaceflight, my goal remains the same: to share knowledge with clarity, passion, and honesty.
