Francesco Clementi

Professor in Comparative Public Law at the Department of "Social Sciences and Economics" at "La Sapienza" University of Rome (Italy).

He has given lectures at many universities in Italy and abroad, and he is member of the editorial committee and referee of the following journals: Diritto pubblico comparato ed europeo (2002-present); Comparazione e Diritto civile (2011-present); Democracy & Security - Democrazia & Sicurezza (2011-present); Teutas. Law & Technology Journal (2007-present); Devolution Club’s Blog (2006-present); Astrid. Rassegna sui problemi delle istituzioni e delle amministrazioni pubbliche (2003-present); Federalismi. Osservatorio sul federalismo e i processi di governo (2000-2007); Quaderni Costituzionali (1998-2000); Nomos. Le attualitą nel diritto (1999–2003). Since 2012, he is member of the International Editorial Committee and referee of the “Treaty of Comparative public law”, published by Eleven Publisher, Netbiblo e Cedam, in three different languages (English, Spanish and Italian language).

Since 2013, he has been the member of the National Editorial Committee on the law publications of the Societą Editrice “Il Mulino” of Bologna and, since 2011, he is commentator, on the political-constitutional issues, for the “Il Sole 24 Ore”, the most relevant Italian Financial Daily Newspaper.

In 2013-2014, he was appointed by the Italian Government in the special Commission of constitutional-law scholars and experts (so called “Commissione dei Saggi”) to define a report for the Italian Parliament on a set of Constitutional reforms to do in the present political Legislature.
