Gregory Blair

Originally from Red Deer in Canada, Gregory Blair is an artist, writer, and educator that resides in Evansville, Indiana with his wife, two children, and their wildly energetic dog. Blair is an Assistant Professor of Art and Design at the University of Southern Indiana where he teaches contemporary art history, digital design, and some gender studies courses. Blair has exhibited his artwork and presented his research both nationally and internationally, in locations that include Portugal, Italy, NYC, New Orleans, Boston, Alaska, St. Louis, Minneapolis, and Canada. Blair’s latest book, What Punk Taught Me, was published in 2025 by Vernon Press. His previous two books The Politics of Spatial Transgressions in the Arts and Errant Bodies, Mobility, and Political Resistance were both published by Palgrave Macmillan. His writing has also been featured in Arts Magazine, The Journal of Art for Life, Visual Inquiry, Echo: A Music-Centered Journal, Art Style Magazine, and Kapsula Magazine.
