Marshall Daniel Thomas

Marshall D. Thomas is a multifaceted author, pastor, and technologist. Born in Germany to a military family, Marshall grew up moving around the United States. His diverse background led him to serve his community in various ways - as a firefighter, chaplain, and through a 20-year career progression in security and information technology.

Marshall studied theology and was ordained as a pastor in 1999. He has served as interim pastor at churches, led Bible studies, and edited several Christian books. Marshall is passionate about his faith and aims to connect with others through his writing and ministry.

In addition to his pastoral work, Marshall has an MBA in Information Systems Management. He has held roles as CIO and founded a technology consulting firm. Marshall leverages both his technical expertise and theological training in his life's work.

Marshall is a husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He and his wife Stephanie have two children, and Marshall embraces his role as a parent to his own kids as well as former foster children. Family is important to Marshall, and his personal experiences as a cisgender heterosexual father of a transgender child and a non-binary child inform his inclusive perspective.

With decades of diverse professional and personal experiences, Marshall brings a spirit of compassion and service to all that he does. Whether writing, preaching, or consulting, he aims to uplift and support the LGBTQIA+ and Black communities and create spaces where everyone feels welcome.
