Dr Leslie

Dr. Leslie, a former public school educator is the founder and CEO of Dr. Leslie Inspires as well as Solid Foundation Christian Academy in Stone Mountain, Georgia. While working with families in public and private school settings for 29 years, Dr. Leslie has encountered many fragile relationships between mothers and their sons. Between the raising of boys who find it difficult to become men to the boys who lack personal responsibility and end up in jail or the prison system, the need to help mothers stop enabling their sons and cultivate healthy relationships with them has become more clear. Since Dr. Leslie continues to see the same problem over and over again, she has developed ongoing strategies to help women discover opportunities to help their teen, twenty, thirty, forty, or fifty something year old son grow up? Dr. Leslie believes that if we empower, educate, and inspire mothers who want to transformation in their relationship with their son, then DLI can be an effective resource to them and then the boys to men cycle can become stronger and our males can start making better decisions.

DLI gives her a platform to help in a subject area that no one is talking about but everyone knows is true. She gets satisfaction and added-value to her life knowing she is making a difference in the lives of the people she serves. Being an agent for cultural change and seeing the impact she is having on mothers and their sons has put her on her soul’s path. When someone that she has helped sees the impact that she has made in their life and comes back to say “thank you,” it is her confirmation that she has stepped into her purpose for a time such as this. Dr. Leslie has a very distinct “feeling of knowing” that she is doing exactly what she was born to do at this point in her life. She believes that every experience that has plagued her or made her feel deeply sad was for now. She believes that every conversation that she has had or didn’t have with a mother about her son was for now. She believes that for the many personal, confidential, and emotional conversations that she has had with people, over the years, who believed, entrusted and sought out her advice...was for now.

Be prepared to meet a new version of yourself every time you make the decision to shed another layer of old trauma, conditioning, or pain. In your letting go, your perspectives and interests will shift and transformation will occur as you travel the road to greater self-awareness, renewed joy, happiness and peace.
