Bas van der Vossen

Bas van der Vossen is a Professor of Philosophy at Chapman University, where he's affiliate with the Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy. He specializes in political philosophy, writing on global justice, property rights, academic activism, and other topics.

He's written Political Philosophy: The Basics, In Defense of Openness: Why Global Freedom is the Humane Solution to Global Poverty (Oxford, 2018) with Jason Brennan, and Debating Humanitarian Intervention (Oxford, 2017) with Fernando Tesón. He's also co-edited Economic Liberties and Human Rights (Routledge, 2019) and the Routledge Handbook of Libertarianism (Routledge, 2017).
