Carol Lynn Luck

Carol Lynn Luck's historical fiction opens doors to cultural dilemmas, from anti-Semitism to school desegregation. The reader experiences different places and times through characters who are motivated by a strong sense of social justice and a need to survive.

Over the last fifty years, Carol has taught students from kindergarten to college, from New York to Mississippi and Massachusetts. As producer and co-host of "Novel Ideas", on Access Framingham TV, she jumps into the many worlds of her guest authors. Her diaries, plentiful M&Ms, love of family legends, strong episodic memory, and desire to spread understanding and compassion have contributed to her published novels.

"Heroines of the Kitchen Table" is about four women who defied Hitler and struggled to save their loved ones.

On a lighter note, "Gym Class Klutz" focuses on the life of a girl who dared to pursue math and science in the 1960s.

Her most recent novel, "Magnolias Don't Bloom in September" deals with the cultural clashes of desegregation in Mississippi through the experiences of a young Yankee teacher.
