Winifred Grace

Hello! I wrote this award winning book with Ava McCarthy about her life growing up in foster care, group homes, lock-down facilities, and into young adulthood. This true story is inspiring and gives a first-hand look at human survival. Through faith, love, and a good counselor, Ava slowly changes her life and stops a cycle of abuse for herself and for her daughter.

We wanted to share her life story hoping to spread a gift of kindness and acceptance for all people that you, the reader, may come across. Regardless of any differences, this books promotes love and acceptance of all people as we journey together through this fascinating life.

The names in the book have all been changed. We are writing with pseudonyms to protect the privacy of Ava's daughter. She is still young and does not know all of her mother's past.
