Lanny H. Starr

Lanny H Starr (01/26/1942 - 02/11/2023) was a Vietnam Veteran who served two years fighting in the war in Vietnam. He served his country well. After the war, Lanny moved to a warm pocket of the Pacific Northwest where he and his lovely wife raised a family of four. He worked many years as a purchasing manager before retiring. After retirement, Lanny spent his free time writing down personal experiences from a tour served in the U.S.Army in Vietnam. Encouraged by his oldest daughter, those memoirs were put together to form his autobiographical book titled, Vietnam Diary. Lanny's grandchildren have fond memories of their grandpa and describe him as a "ruff and gruff old man who loved his grandkids and always had money hidden away for them, though he had a hard time deciding if he loved his naps a little more."
