Fernando Muraca

Fernando Muraca is a storyteller. Graduated in modern literature (history of cinema, 1992) and Philosophy (aesthetics, 2012) he also deepened studies on transmedia narration. Until the 2000s he worked as a screenwriter, story editor and creative producer for television in dramas broadcast in prime time in the national networks of many western countries. Since 2000 his main activity has become that of director and author of fictional films for cinema (La terra dei Santi) and television (Don Matteo, Commissario Rex). For these works he has received numerous awards. In recent years he has favored literary narration by writing several novels and short stories:Dieci giorni - storia di un amore (Città Nuova), Isole nere (Laruffa), La voce di Anna (Oakmond Publishing), Liberamente Veronica (Città Nuova), Il sarto (Oakmond Publishing), La morte del tonno (in Nero Mediterraneo – ISBN 97888855121016), Liberi di cadere liberi di volare (città Nuova), Ho attraversato il fuoco (ed. Parallel to his artistic profession, he has always loved and cultivated his pedagogical activity by holding courses and workshops, teaching in film schools and fine arts academies. He is currently one of the directing teachers at the Gian Maria Volonté School of Cinematographic Art in Rome.
