Robert Klotz has always loved telling scary stories.
What used to be just creeping out his friends around the campfire, eventually grew into a lifelong passion for horror, thrillers and all things macabre.
Why Horror?
This, he answers with a smile:
"Because it's the most versatile genre to me. Breaking rules and stepping outside of set norms is a key part of it and I have always loved this aspect.
I want to freely express my creativity and constantly find new concepts and for me, horror is the genre I feel most comfortable in."
His goal while writing?
It's simple: "I want to entertain people.", this is the most important aspect to the Austrian author, born in October of 1987.
Changing the world, expanding the human mind, those are not his goals. He prefers to take his readers on a little journey to a fantastical, creepy world that makes their hairs stand on end, while still being fun.
This is the reason why he prefers fantastical horror, because "I don't like writing about current, realistic themes and events. Stories about fictional terrorist acts and the like are not for me. These things are too real, hit too close to home. I prefer creeping out my readers with supernatural ideas, in a fun and engaging way."
Since 2016 Robert Klotz officially follows his dream with passion, with support from his wife, whom he married in August of 2015, and his writing buddy Nero, who's furry head is never far from his lap and occasionally begs for treats.
