Alan Cutting

I am Alan Cutting. I am a Christian, a husband, a father and a grandfather.

For twenty years I was a pastor and planter of churches in the UK and Belgium, and in more recent years my primary role has been to equip and support churches across the world, particularly in terms of helping them work out what it means to be integral and effective in their mission to their communities.

My interests include international travel, family history, gardening, walking and watching non-league football, especially Kettering Town F.C.

CuttingAcross.com is my website; a collection of my books, blogs and media that reflect some of these interests and experiences.

'Cutting Across the Borders' is my first book. Published in October 2018, it is my life story and travels around the world.

I followed this up in April 2019 with the publication of 'Raising Families: Envisioning the Church to Empower its Neighbourhood'. This book looks into the work of Raising Families, the Church and Community Mobilisation programme that I managed in Central Asia and Africa.

In May 2020 I published 'Cutting Across the Generations'; the story of six generations of the Cutting family who lived in Suffolk and Norfolk between 1760 and 1985.

And book #4 is 'Cutting Across Africa', published in November 2021. It is a travel book, following my journeys across eighteen countries throughout Africa.
