I came late to writing. Probably intimidated by my father and brother who were both newspaper editors and columnists.

My adventure began while recovering from a cancer operation. As many of you know your body is weak, but your mind is still going full blast. My wife, Princess Bonnie, suggested that instead of complaining about not being able to leap tall buildings any more like Superman I should write something. Anything to keep from pestering her - and others.

I took the not so subtle hint and began writing letters to the Editor.

It was fun and I was told I had a “voice.” Wow, I had a voice. Whatever that meant.

Soon I was taking writing courses at Eckerd College and submitting 500-word pieces weekly. We read them aloud in class which was a real learning experience.

I took Stephen King’s advise and just wrote more and more. It was and still is an adventure to start with a blank screen and see what I can create every day. My mind reels with possibilities.

My interests are eclectic as are the subjects of my books.

Pertinent details for a biography;

Born Oak Park, Illinois 1940 Three daughters. Four grandchildren.

One Great grandchild.

Second marriage has miraculously lasted more than thirty-five years to Princess Bonnie with her two boys.

Attended four Universities and never let studies interfere with my education. Military High School and a stint in the U.S Marine Corps before that.

I am an alcoholic that has been dry for 36 years. And yes I want a scotch on the rocks and no I will not drink it.

Mostly ran my own businesses and finally invented a system and sold it to Disney in Florida, where we live with our two Dobermans Bite and Chew.

Most of this falls into the category of 'Nobody cares', but in order to blog I have to follow directions.

Now can I get back to writing?
