Erik Farr

Erik is a technologist, author, mentor and cloud strategy leader. Currently he works at Amazon Web Services where he manages a team of Solution Architects who design cloud scale architectures for enterprise customers through global system integrator partners. With over 7 years building cloud native solutions and 18 years in the IT industry, his experience has led to innovative systems, large implementations and significant adoption of the cloud by his partners and customers. Erik is passionate about not only migrating workloads to the cloud, but helping inform customers how to create massive scale cloud native architectures using the newest technology and patterns.

Previous to AWS, Erik held multiple positions as a cloud technology leader, including starting and growing the cloud architecture and delivery practice for Capgemini in Australia and designing public sector solutions for Capgemini in the US. He started his career working with The Walt Disney Company, where he learned that customer satisfaction is the key to a successful business outcome.

Erik enjoys learning new technologies, writing, reading and spending time with his family on the beaches and water ways of Florida in his free time.
