David Margolis retired from the practice of gastroenterology in 2013 to become a full time writer. His stories and poems have appeared in The Canadian Medical Association Journal, JAMA: Internal Medicine, Missouri Medicine, HumorPress.com, Long Story Short, Still Crazy, The Jewish Light of St. Louis, and the Society of Classical Poets. His genre is humor fiction. He’s published three novels, “The Myth of Dr. Kugelman”, “The Plumber’s Wrench,” and “The Misadventures of Buddy Jones” which won an eLit award for humor. He’s also written a book of short stories, “Looking Behind: The Gaseous Life of a Gastroenterologist.” HIs most recent collection of short stories "Tales of Unkosher Souls" has received a Kirkus starred book review.
David resides in St. Louis, MO with his wife Laura, nephew Nick, three small rescue dogs, and a set of golf clubs.
