David Buckner

David's first artistic breakthrough involved learning the alphabet with his mother. She used to teach him the ABCs and he would write them by drawing the letters into shapes of monsters and creepy creatures. Flash forward years later, he received his Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from West Virginia University. Flash forward a little bit more and he received a degree in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design. His first children's book titled "Even Scary Things Get the Blues", contains 25 illustrated children's poems guaranteed to tickle or scare your funny bone. David currently resides in wonderful and sometimes spooky Rhode Island.
