Michael Neely

Reverend Michael Neely lives in beautiful and sunny Tampa, Florida, where he is the Senior Pastor of New Millennium Community Church. Reverend Michael Neely received his call to ministry in August of 1986 when he resided in Chicago, Illinois. Since then, he has worked in the capacity of Youth Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent, Director of Evangelism, Assistant Pastor, Church Planter, and now Senior Pastor.He served as the Assistant Pastor of First Baptist Church of College Hill from September of 2000 until March of 2004 under the leadership of Reverend Abraham Brown. He has a tremendous passion for God’s word; a compassion for all community members; a love for God’s people; and a deep commitment to the community. His concern for victims of domestic violence led him to become an executive board member of the Family Justice Center where he serves as a volunteer chaplain and spiritual counselor. Presently he serves as a volunteer chaplain at the Spring of Tampa bay which is a domestic violence shelter.

He is also the 2009 recipient of the volunteer domestic violence advocate award given by the Hillsborough County Task Force of Domestic Violence.

Reverend Michael Neely studied at Newburgh Theological Seminary and College of the Bible and has future plans of pursuing a Masters Degree in Creative Writing. He is certified to train clergy in the nuts and bolts of domestic violence and has wrote his first book titled: “Black Eyes and Sweet Talk” – a correct biblical view of marriage and domestic violence.

Reverend Michael Neely is married to Katonya Neely and is the father of one daughter and grandfather of two boys and one girl. When Reverend Neely is not working, he likes to bowl, play basketball and indulge in his second love which is singing. He is an accomplished Classical Lyric first tenor and loves singing classical music, love ballads and gospel.
