Albert L. Reyes (1958-present) serves as President & CEO of Buckner International, a social service agency serving vulnerable children, orphans, families, and seniors since 1879 based in Dallas with service locations across Texas and in 6 countries outside the USA. His experience includes Manager in a Fortune 500 Company, pastor-church planter, university president & adjunct professor in theology, leadership, & cross-cultural studies, and author. He enjoys studying and writing about theology, missiology, management, leadership, and social service. He is a 3rd generation Native Texan of Mexican and
Scottish descent from Corpus Christi, Texas and alumnus of Angelo State University (BBA in Management), Southwestern Seminary (MDiv, Theology & DMin, Missiology), and Andrews University (PhD in Leadership). He enjoys writing about serving under-served, disadvantaged populations, social transformation, cross-cultural dynamics, organizational change and leadership, leadership, social issues, and how the Kingdom of God can be experienced in the here and now, as well as the yet to be. He wrote The Jesus Agenda to focus followers of Jesus on the Agenda Jesus set forth in his first sermon in the Synagogue in Nazareth in the 1st Century. His 2nd book "Hope Now: Peace, Healing, and Justice when the Kingdom Comes Near," was released in 2019, in Spanish in 2020. His third book, “Never Alone: The Power of Family to Inspire Hope,” published in 2024. He is happily married to Dr. Belinda A. Reyes, and they have three adult sons: Joshua, David, and Thomas.
