C. C. Aningo
Out of choice or duty, we sometimes plunge ourselves into the pursuit of one activity set. All else get secondary or no attention – tunnelled vision, so to say. Much of Aningo’s life so far has been mostly devoted to the study and uses of the makeups, qualities, and capabilities of materials, people, and nature, along with attendant effects – the tech thing. He rocked to it all in varying beats on six continents.
Over time, however, the following normal human features held his attention. Creativity is not restricted to a discipline or profession, but is transferrable from one activity to another. Each person’s life runs on eventually dedicated tracks, while the bottom lines remain that we are all more alike than different – ask the organs’ trans-plant specialists – and that HOPE drives us towards a better life. Everyone is a shelf of bestseller stories, regardless of position or background. Then, we are all curious, in degrees of course.
Whether or not one believes that above all nations is humanity, Aningo feels that a cardinal sin against humanity is the artificial curbing of the full expressions of an individual’s enabling talents. Aningo fervently pleads the Afrikan UBUNTU – ”I am because we are.”
Aningo currently gets lifts from being close to nature through gardening and from mentoring young people – the “Big Sister” or “Big Brother” splashes, especially when he finds chemistry with his mentees. Enduring blue-chip investments, anywhere any time.
He enjoys listening to music, watching sports, and some of the arts.
His writing – prose or poetry – gives you, dear reader, and no matter your status, the chance to “browse his shelf.” The emotions, the aspirations, and their forerunners and wakes. The dynamics of life. The living truths – their shades and all their interpretations. The outright aberrations. The overall human condition.
How did they all play out in his writing compared to the stories in your own “shelf”? Will Aningo take you under more of the sheets of the fine and fickle in humankind?
Please, go ahead . . . find out. Let your curiosity career – there’s not much to lose.
