Bill Stokes

I've recently been called a Sage of the Age, a poet, and a burl-squirrel (woodworker). After serving in the military and traveling the world I settled in Alaska, which has been my home since 1969. Poetry has been a way of expressing in words what I couldn't otherwise. The words spin in a roulette wheel in my mind until the last is in place then the poem becomes a waterfall of words that I do my best to transcribe as they flow before me once then they are gone.
