T.J. Vari

T.J. Vari is the Senior Director of Product Strategy at MaiaLearning, focused on college and career readiness, work-based learning, pathways, social and emotional learning, digital profiles for students, direct access to college, and more.

T.J. is the former Deputy Superintendent of Secondary Schools and District Operations in the fastest growing school system in Delaware. He is a former high school English teacher, middle level assistant principal, and middle school principal. He's an award winning educator with accolades including the Paul Carlson Administrator of the Year Award and the Person of the Year for the Delaware Association of Assistant Superintendents, as examples in his time as an administrator.

T.J. holds several adjunct appointments teaching leadership at the university level, including coursework in supervisory behavior, data usage, human resources, and curriculum practices. He advises doctoral students toward the completion of their dissertation projects as well as their personal leadership development plans.

He is the co-author of 6 educational leadership books (all of which can be found here on Amazon).

T.J. is also one of two Executive Officers (w/ Dr. Joseph Jones) for a leadership development institute, called TheSchoolHouse302, which works to develop leaders in education and beyond. TheSchoolHouse302 publishes blog posts, book recommendation, podcasts, and more.
