John Mark Green

John Mark Green is a poet whose work has appeared in publications such as Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper, Parade Magazine, The Urban Howl, Country Living, and Psychology Today. Brené Brown quotes his work in her book Atlas of the Heart, and his poem “Burn Our Masks at Midnight” appears in the international bestseller Leadership from the Inside Out by Kevin Cashman.

Through his online presence, John has built a diverse readership across the U.S. and around the world. His poetry has been shared on social media by public figures including Evan Rachel Wood, Jack Canfield, Rainn Wilson, and The Jacksons. His romantic poem “My Undeniable Miracle” is featured on One Fab Day’s Essential List of Wedding Ceremony Readings.

John is the author of A Horse Is in My House Again, I Met a Woolly Mammoth, She Had a Very Inconvenient Heart, and Taste the Wild Wonder (which was selected as Book of the Week for Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper in October 2020). He lives in Ontario, Canada, with his wife, poet Christy Ann Martine, with whom he has co-authored two books in The Light You Need series.
