I am a poet whose work has appeared in publications including Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper, Parade, The Urban Howl, Country Living, and Psychology Today. Brené Brown quotes my work in her book Atlas of the Heart, and my poem “Burn Our Masks at Midnight” appears in the international bestseller Leadership from the Inside Out by Kevin Cashman.

Through my online presence, I have built a diverse readership across the U.S. and around the world. My poetry has been shared on social media by public figures including Evan Rachel Wood, Jack Canfield, Rainn Wilson, and The Jacksons. My romantic poem “My Undeniable Miracle” is featured on One Fab Day’s Essential List of Wedding Ceremony Readings.

My books for children include A Horse Is in My House Again and I Met a Woolly Mammoth. My books for adults include She Had a Very Inconvenient Heart and Taste the Wild Wonder, which was selected as a Book of the Week by Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper in October 2020.

I live in Ontario, Canada, with my wife, poet Christy Ann Martine. Together, we have co-authored two books in The Light You Need series.
