Mary Ann Burrows

Mary Ann Burrows is a Canadian poet, author, and artist whose work explores creativity, grief, and the natural world. She is the author of Uprooted: A Season of Grief, The Last Hurrah, and One Earth. Her children’s books Oh, Monkey! and Gator on My Back support emotional well-being in young readers. Her work appears in The Great Book of Journaling, Transformational Journaling for Coaches, Therapists, and Clients, and The Creativity Workbook for Coaches and Creatives. She lives on a 72-acre farm in British Columbia. Mary Ann is grateful to have received an Honourable Mention in the 2025 Wild Women Story Contest from TulipTree Publishing. Her story, In Another Life—A Dream Tied to a Mesquite Tree, is included in their anthology Wild Women: Stories from TulipTree.
