Sheila Hurst writes as S.P.Hurst. A writer of contemporary / historical fiction, and Western romance. A member of a vibrant and supportive local Writers Circle.

What interests her most is fascinating characters, and their relationships with a strong tale full of conflict. The settings and characters are closely entwined, in a compelling turbulent and intriguing story.

Sheila is married and has one grown up daughter, and two rescue cats. In her previous life before becoming a writer she worked in the aviation and the travel industry travelling the world extensively, becoming a North American specialist.

Being a published author was a long held dream and desire since childhood. Interests include history and reading. Her first novel is The Lure of Gold, a historical romance set in the gold fields of Northern California. This is the first book in the Pure Gold Collection, with the second new book Angel's Gold, now on sale through Amazon another stand alone story.

The first romance book was started on Valentines day 2018, prompted by a holiday on a river boat moored in the old town of Sacramento. An inspiring place to visit.

Also by the author is a modern romance titled: Wychfield Manor.
