As a native of Yonkers, New York, a career in the United States Air Force meant I also lived in Minnesota, Texas, France, Germany, and California before settling here in Orlando, Florida with my wife, Jean. Management positions with tech firms followed my military service, and later personal consulting in team building, strategic planning, partnering, and facilitation; however, my passions have always been painting and writing. After years of penning various scripts and articles, I wrote my first book—a fantasy called The Last Fairy. Later, on a trip to Rome, Italy, that book gave me an entrée to Italian writer Marco Di Tillo, who had several suggestions for historical fiction works related to World War II and the pre-war period. We became writing partners and have produced two novels, namely The Other Eisenhower (Webster House) about the frantic days before D-Day and The Dollfuss Directive (Skyway Press), which covers the first meeting of Hitler and Mussolini in Venice, Italy. Both offer readers eye-opening experiences that depict the daily lives and challenges of actual historical figures of the time blended with the intrigues, aspirations, and purposes of our fictional characters.
