Stacy Dockins

A perpetual student at heart, Stacy Dockins is especially fascinated by the science behind long-term musculoskeletal functionality and overall physical and mental wellness. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M in 1994, she has continued her formal education with several additional courses in nutritional therapy, organic chemistry, anatomy, and physiology. Through EdX.org, she co-teaches the online course, “The Science and Practice of Yoga,” which has had over 19,000 participants from around the globe thus far. Embodied Posture is her first book.

In addition to teaching weekly yoga and meditation classes for over 25 years, Stacy has trained and mentored hundreds of new yoga teachers. She and her husband, Dave, co-own the Yoga Project studios in Ft. Worth, Mansfield, and Arlington, Texas. They jointly lead teacher trainings and wellness retreats in Texas, Thailand, Bali, and Costa Rica. Information on teacher trainings and retreats can be found at www.yogaproject.com or www.stacydockins.com.

A few of her other interests include road cycling, plants, nature, and books. When they aren’t out exploring backroads on their bikes, Stacy and Dave might be at home cooking, reading, or practicing together. They have three grown children. Along with Dave, Jake, Kera, Luke, and the family dog Buster are the main loves of Stacy’s life. For a peek into their world, follow them on Instagram:
