Josh Kennedy

Hello. I'm Josh Kennedy. I'm a 46-year-old U.S. Navy veteran and a father of two young men, 14 and 12. My wife, Amy, and I live with the boys and two dogs in Southeastern Michigan. Amy and I have been married 19 years.

I was a political reporter for a few newspapers -- almost 17 years -- when the economy "receded" and I needed to find a new career. I fix old houses now and I rent a few and I flip some too.

But I am a writer. I feel like it is a duty to continue talking about our republic. Newspapers are being maligned. Digital media is rigged. Information in a free society is paramount.

The conversations I am having in this Patriot Series of books are ones that we must have. They are conversations you hear at work, around the water cooler, on the bus. At the dinner table?

I am compelled to write these tales in hopes of furthering the conversation about just what this American experiment is all about. I don't pretend to have all the answers, but I'm willing to try and find them. All men are created equal... right?
