About the author

Liza Jones has over 20 years’ experience of tutoring a wide range of craft and textile courses, from patchwork and quilting, through appliqué and creative stitch to couching, dress making, embroidery and much more. Liza has also attended many courses as a student, all of which give her an unrivalled understanding of what people are looking for when they are thinking of taking up a craft. Her book How to Choose the Right Craft for You helps people match hobbies with their specific interests, attitudes and skills. Liza also wrote The Amazing World of Appliqué, 9 Steps to begin Patchwork and Quilting, Sewing Needles, Sewing Machine Presser Feet and the very useful reference work 101 Sewing Essential Tools & Notions -What they are for and how to use them. Other books include Oranges and Lemons . . . and other Citrus Fruit and several business books. Liza also has a background in running numerous weekend craft courses, concurrent with her commercial work helping companies improve their profitability and business owners wanting to retire or sell their companies.

In her spare time, she raises funds for the Air Ambulance by giving Zoom and in person talks on a wide range of topics. Liza speaks Spanish and lives in Suffolk, England with her husband.
