Mick Brady

I'm the middle child in a family of nine kids who grew up in Chicago and spent summer vacations in Wisconsin farm country. The first movie I saw was the Disney version of Alice in Wonderland, which influenced me to come up with my own ways of unlocking the doors to fantasy worlds. I've studied political science, social science, drama and screenwriting. I've taught writing and critical thinking. I've worked as a tech editor for many years -- a career that has challenged me to think in very concrete terms, balancing flights of pure fancy with hard facts. Twenty-four years ago, I made a new home in beautiful Ventura, California, and I haven't looked back. My family and friends, and my garden, are my world.
