Aliada Duncan

Aliada Duncan was born and raised in Furman, South Carolina. She later relocated to Columbia, South Carolina where she became a member of the Columbia’s Writers Alliance. She now lives in Maryland and is the author of six self-published books and counting. In June of 2020, she started her company, Anu Vision LLC, home of the best selling Hair Growth Serum. As for writing, her interest peeked when she discovered the likes of Langston Hughes, Nikki Giovanni and Maya Angelou at the age of twelve. At the age of thirteen, she became an avid reader and Poet. In high school, one of her poems was selected and featured in the South Carolina State Newspaper. In 2012, she produced another poem that was featured in the poetry collection entitled, “Stars In Our Hearts: Findings”. She has acquired her Associates in Human Services and Bachelors degree in Social Work. She has also received her MSW as well. In 2018 she self published, then later signed with B. Love Publications and re-released her first book of poems entitled “Wordplay: A Potion Named Poetry”. In 2019, she was featured as the grand prize winning poet in “Poet Speak Magazine”. Beginning May of 2019, she decided to become a self published author. More than a Poet, she indulges in the creation of short stories as well. Now, as an independent author, she plans to produce artistry that will intrigue and move her readers. Aliada Duncan is a woman behind her words. She is a daughter, mother, writer and an essentially eccentric soul that draws inspiration from the ethereal motions of life. Her strength is built from the Most High and is pleased to be His vessel. Her goal is to give her readers what they need, and what they want.
