Rev Dele

Rev Dele is a grandmother, author and spiritual leader who opens the environmental narrative to include the voice of Mother Nature so we create JOY with our Impact. Her spirituality includes practical ways to personally and communally strengthen our connection with Creator, Mother Earth and ancient wisdom. Trained as a Climate Reality Leader and spiritual director, she is training the next generation of resilience leaders in faith, ecology, and economic empowerment.

As grandmother, theologian, and permaculture professor, Dele teaches that justice begins with the inner balance we experience in Nature and then flows throughout human relationships in social, political and economic systems. Her books for children and adults invite us to regain the ecological abundance, emotional contentment and spiritual sense of oneness when we are tuned into Mother Earth.

Professionally Dele has been an entrepreneurial manager in California, Oklahoma, Washington D.C.,Virginia, and New York designing and launching programs with national impact over 40 years. A Bible student since the age of eight, Dele has also been certified as a yogini in Kashmir Shaivsim: an Odincini in the Akan Spiritual United Order; a pastor and spiritual director in the United Church of Christ. She now studies the medicine wheel in her Mig Maw (Mic Mac) lineage to increase our oneness with nature. Her current national initiatives intend to calm our social and climate chaos and rise with Earth’s ascension..

After training young adults in sacred ecology, Rev Dele co-founded Soil & Souls with her students, Jason Lindsay and Darciea Houston [www.soilsouls.org]. Soil & Souls is a worker-owned native and medicinal plant nursery that provides leadership training and community education in resilience. We are currently working to secure 102 acres of land in the Hudson Valley, New York to train 300 resilience leaders from 30 U.S. communities that need the most assistance. In order to secure land, Rev Dele convened the Indigenous Mothers Land Trust to ensure sovereignty for workers and Indigenous land management practices.
