Michael Hyde

Hello, my name is Michael! I am a recent college graduate from Mount Pleasant, Michigan. I graduated with a bachelors of science degree in Psychology and Philosophy, with a minor in social work: youth studies. I hope to either attend graduate school to study philosophy, or to pursue juvenile corrections as a career. Some of my hobbies other than writing include doing reading philosophy, riding wheeled toys (skateboards, scooters, bikes, etc), watching classic horror and sci-fi movies, and playing guitar. My life goal is to encourage and inspire people, with a particular emphasis on foster youth, adopted individuals. Having been a part of all three of these categories for most of my life, I have a huge heart for this community.

You’re probably wondering, what can I expect from your books? The answer: anything. Poetry, non-fiction, fiction... all I can say is that most of what I wrote about will involve topics such as morality, the meaning of life, mental health, and social struggles. I draw heavily from my own experiences; including foster care, mental health struggles, depression and anxiety, incarceration, and homelessness, to reach both individuals of similar backgrounds and to engage those for whom this world is foreign. Thanks so much for checking out me and my work, and I hope you enjoy!
