Hareesh Tibrewala

Hareesh was born in Mukundgarh, a dusty little village in Rajasthan. His family migrated to Mumbai when he was still very young. Hareesh went on to do his schooling from Hindi Vidya Bhavan and his junior college from Jai Hind College. After spending one month at KEM Hospital in the MBBS course, Hareesh decided that his first love was maths and science. So he shifted to VJTI and went on to do his bachelor of engineering. He passed his GRE exam with flying colours and got admission the the MS program at the University of Southern California. Soon, he was on a full scholarship at USC.

Post his education, Hareesh did a 6-month Management Training Program at AKZO Nobel, at Wuppertal, Germany. After returning back to India, he joined IFCM Counsellors, a leading human resource agency, as a partner. In 1997 he cofounded Homeindia.com, which was recognised as India’s Most Useful Website by the Economic Times. This was a venture-capital funded e-retail portal. After exiting Homeindia in 2007, Hareesh took up a professional assignment with Jesons Industries, as President. In 2009, the entrepreneurial bug bit him again. And this time he cofounded Social Wavelength, a social media agency. Social Wavelength soon becomes one of India’s leading agencies in its space and won numerous recognitions for some pioneering work done for its clients. In 2014, WPP acquired a substantial stake in Social Wavelength and Social Wavelength was soon re-branded as Mirum and become part of JWT’s global digital network.

Mirum India today is a team of 200+ digital professionals, partnering more than 50 brands in their digital journey. Mirum India is also a Salesforce Solutions Partner for its Marketing Cloud Suite of Solutions.

Hareesh has been recognised as the Social Media Professional of the Year by the World Brand Congress; as an Impact Top 100 digital influencers as well as a Digi-Power 100 Influencer. Hareesh has addressed numerous national and international conferences on the subject of advertising and media. He has also been a honorary faculty with the University of Mumbai in the field of Computer Networks. In addition, he has been the founder co-chairman of the Committee on Information Technology at the Indian Merchants Chamber, and was also the President of Rotary Club of Mumbai Sea Pearl.
