Chelsia Harris, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC is a nurse practitioner, nurse educator, and nurse executive. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas, her Master of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Harris has spoken locally, regionally, and nationally to a variety of healthcare audiences, authored publications and served as a peer reviewer in several professional nursing journals, and published a professional nursing book entitled: Created and Called: A Journey to and through Nursing (New Leaf Press). Her research includes exploring compassion fatigue and daily spiritual experience among nursing assistants working in nursing homes. Dr. Harris’ is passionate about serving people through the profession of nursing and ensuring that all people are valued and treated as divine image-bearers of Christ. Although Dr. Harris feels called to nursing, she is devout in her belief that her greatest calling is being a wife to her husband, Paul Harris (www.thecleverlys.com), for the last 14 years, and mama to their three-year-old daughter. Dr. Harris’ witnesses the passion and unconditional love in their daughter’s heart and the incredible joy she brings to all who know her; and it is Dr. Harris’ deepest desire to share that joy and sweet humility with the world.
