Jim White

Jim White, author of Wine In The Sand and Lightning Crashes, was born in Cincinnati, and grew up across the river in Northern Kentucky. Born in the last year of the "baby boomer", he had an adventurous childhood with his colorful friends. Building camps in the woods, going to concerts and trying to find ways to get in trouble, he had a fun upbringing. With most of college finished and not feeling ready to jump into adulthood, he joined the Air Force to fill his need for adventure. After traveling the globe, he found himself ready to exit the military, but Uncle Sam decided he just wasn't finished with him yet. Thrown into Desert Storm with a ragtag troop of firemen, he made the best of a situation, and came out the other side a much different person. With an unending need for adventure, he racked up over 400 skydives, 25 plus marathons, Ironmans, and ultramarathons. He married his dream girl, Mary, and they have two great kids. Having written his first book about his time spent in the Gulf War, he turned to his passion for Science Fiction with his second book, Lightning Crashes. Enjoy.
