After being raised in New Mexico in a close family that included four sisters, David ventured to Colorado to attend a graduate program in medical radiation physics. It may sound like an impressive career, but it simply provided him the privilege of working with a great team in the care of strong, determined, undeserving of their diagnosis and inspiring oncology patients in a radiation therapy environment. After a brief stint in Detroit, he moved back to Denver and hasn’t budged since.
David and his wife, Cassie, raised three incredible sons who fortunately still live close by as they love Colorado living as well. After years of struggling with multiple sclerosis, his family encouraged David to complete his dream of publishing his first book on a subject that was often puzzling. Despite over 30 scientific publications and several book chapters from his physicist career, he is most proud of his book that is a fun exploration of the meaning and origin of an assortment of peculiar, but common expressions and terms.
